Review: Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain

2.0 out of 5 stars
Summary brief

Although the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain looks similar to the Clinique Chubby Stick, most of the b spot girls felt the likeness ended right there. This Balm Stain certainly delivers color, but three of the four selections we tested were dreadfully opaque and a bit drying. While bspotMichelle lucked out with her choice and thought it felt good on the lips, the rest of us were disappointed in the way the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain looked on the lips.

Opaque color is what you settle for with Revlon’s new Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain. But at half the price of Clinique’s cuter Chubby Stick, the Just Bitten Kissable delivers moisture in a similar crayon-like balm. If you are not in the mood to splurge and you don’t mind one-dimensional lip color, then this is a suitable choice. But if you like your lip color to be rich and sheer with a great sheen, then look elsewhere.

Tim McGraw says it perfectly in the title of his song, “It felt good on my lips.” (I’m a Texas girl, remember?!)

I cannot recommend this product. The texture and color were unpleasant. I did feel a bit like Barbie for a split second after putting on the pink, so that was fun. I just had to wipe it off before getting out of the car.

brief

The Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain looks very, very similar to a product by Clinique, but the only similarity is the packaging. Be careful when choosing a shade because the color on your lips is exactly the same as the packaging shows, which is not always a good thing. Don’t try and save money buying Revlon instead of Clinique when it comes to this product. In this case, the extra few dollars is worth it!
