Review: L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream

4.0 out of 5 stars
Summary brief

Let’s face it, a hand cream that absorbs quickly and leave hands silky rather than greasy is hard to find. L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream manages to moisturize without being annoyingly oily. This little luxury is super comforting for dry hands, although the original fragrance may not appeal to everyone. Luckily, L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream comes in a variety of scents, so you’re sure to find one you like if you’re in the market for beautiful hands.

brief

L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream is really, really good. It is super hydrating, absorbs quickly, and has a comforting fragrance. I love it, but I do wish it was a little cheaper. It is a simple luxury, though, and I think it makes a great gift.

brief

Having a cream designated for the hands seemed like such a luxury item to me and I really enjoyed the experience with this product. I loved the scent and the texture and it absorbed quickly, but I didn’t feel like the effects lasted long. I will use the rest of this tube, but I am anxious to use other brands in the future.

If you like L’Occitane products, or if you like a powdery scent, this is for you. It had a nice texture. I’m unclear on what sets it apart from the rest of the pack.

brief

The L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream definitely lives up to its claims of being the best hand cream around the world. It has great staying power and there is no grease factor, which is so important! I am still undecided about the scent, but I know that L’Occitane offers this product in several scents besides the original, so it is worth checking those out.

Enriched with 20% Shea Butter, this super-creamy balm penetrates quickly to protect, nourish and moisturize hands. Honey, almond extracts and coconut oil are blended with Shea Butter to create this extremely effective formula. The rich texture leaves hands soft and smooth with no oily traces, and can be applied as often as needed.

  1. This is our number one seller when it comes to people in professions that wash and/or their hands a lot: doctors, nurses, dental assistants, and cosmetologists. I’ve even had a few stay-at-home moms who wash their hands a lot who won’t use anything else. One aspect of this hardy hand cream is that it has a “gloving” effect, meaning you can leave it on for a few washes before you NEED to reapply.
