Summary brief

Our experiences with Benefit The Porefessional were all over the place. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn’t, other times it made things worse. Its balm-like texture smooths over skin, but from there it’s anybody’s guess what The Porefessional will do.

brief

Benefit The Porefessional doesn't finish the job. While skin starts out smooth and even, hours later things take a turn for the worse. Unless your date begins at 6:00 p.m. and you promise to be home before midnight, skip this step and invest in a great foundation.

Mirror mirror on the wall who has the least noticeable pores of all? For sure not Michelle of the b spot girls. Love the packaging and I love the clever name BUT I need a product that is a bit more professional in this department.

This is an extra step in your routine. It would be like a fine dining restaurant offering you air as a palate cleanser between the appetizer and entree. Give Benefit another try, but not this product!

  1. I’d be interested to hear how this compares to the Clarins Beauty Flash Balm. Supposedly it is really awesome–I haven’t tried it, as it is supposed to refreshen, brighten, and perk up the skin and my skin is really too young and oily to need that during the day yet. I’ve heard of people using it similar to the Porefessional though–putting it under makeup, mixing it in your foundation, and of course, the “endorsed” method: a pea-size warmed in the hands and pressed into to the face over your makeup midday.

  2. Hi Ashley! Can’t wait to try the Clarins Beauty Flash Balm! We will definitely put it on the list.
